History of Bad Froy
The iron-containing water source discovered by Saint Theobald during the last century originates at Taschennberg above from Gudon.
He was sick and tired and moved into the nearby forest where he lived as a hermit. He saw old and injured deer going to the water source for a bath and getting healthy. He then tested the power of the iron-containing medicinal water himself and he too got healthy.
Many sick people recovered at this water source and a chapel was built and dedicated to Saint Theobald who is still the patron of this bath. Numerous visitors come here every year. In ancient centuries this was the most visited farmer's bath in South Tyrol. Today, it enjoys a quiet and peaceful location amidst the forest and has gotten revives in our newly designed "Bad Froy" wellness area.
Treat yourself to a break and enjoy the beneficial effects of a Kneipp therapy during your Dolomites holiday
